Dakkara Frankincense from Kenya
 
This is a dark coloured resin, often in large chunks that do not resemble traditional frankincense, but it is indeed Boswellia resin, originating from the north of Kenya, a country in East Africa.
 
When fumigated, the scent is spicy, fresh and balsamic, with hints of camphor. The pieces are dry on the outside but sticky on the inside.
