Maydi Mushaad Frankincense from Somalia
 
A high quality incense resin of the genus Boswellia frereana, which contains more resin and less gum than other olibanes. Its appearance is also very different. Pieces of varying shapes and sizes with white highlights but never in the shape of round "drops". These pieces are also very easy to break between the fingers.
Native to the mountainous regions of Somalia. A very pleasant fragrance with citrus notes.
 
Very easy to burn, even on very hot charcoal tablets. Unlike other olibanes, it behaves on charcoal like Damar or Manila copal, resins that melt and disappear in the burning charcoal, thus avoiding unpleasant burning smells. You will have with this resin an excellent smell from the beginning to the end of the fumigation.
 
Note that this frankincense is one of the best to chew. It is even the reference in the field, a real natural chewing-gum, very soft and easy to chew, with a slight lemon taste.
