Mirafur Frankincense from Ethiopia
 
This is a good quality resin, harvested in the Ogaden region, the part of Ethiopia populated by Somalis of the Muslim faith.
 
The tears are clean and well sorted, grey in colour, the fragrance in fumigation is intense and complex, but has a certain sweetness and earthy notes.
 
It is quite similar to Boswellia neglecta Dakkara incense from Kenya.
