Myrrh Powder from Somalia

Myrrh resin reduced to powder. The fragrance and properties are identical to those of Suhul myrrh or medium-sized pieces: balsamic, spicy and bitter smell, immediately recognisable.

In powder form, myrrh can be added to mixtures or used to make incense cones or sticks (the finest version).

When making incense, Makko wood powder (Tabu no Ki or Machilus thunbergii) is the preferred base, as it is easy and quick to produce a paste with a little water. Add a small amount of myrrh, frankincense or Palo Santo powder and let the cones or sticks dry.
