Styrax Calamitus
 
This is not a resin but small pieces of charcoal, impregnated with a natural balsam.
The scent is similar to that of Sumatran Benzoin, with its notes of cinnamon.
The product is sometimes called Storax calamitus.
 
Note that this product is found in the famous Pontifical Church Blend, the real original blend, the one that is burned in the Vatican.
